Obidos is beautiful and very simple town associated with about 3,100 inhabitants and also the seat with the municipality of the same, situated within the district of Leiria and subregion Oeste in Portugal. Even though away from the coast, nearby is the large lagoon Lagoa de Obidos where one can sunbathe, swim or even hire windsurfing equipment.
